Before joining the Birchgrove Legal Team in January 2025, Tamanaw was a corporate lawyer at one of the Big Four, where she gained extensive legal experience in corporate governance, commercial law, financial services law, and developed refined technical skills in respect of stamp duty and state taxes law. During her time as a graduate lawyer, Tamanaw was responsible for running legal due diligences, advising boards and executives on director’s duties and advising listed and private companies on restructures and mergers & acquisitions.
Outside of her work at Birchgrove Legal, Tamanaw volunteers at multiple Muslim organisations in Sydney and also has a particular affinity for Australian-based organisations that aid Afghan refugee’s settlement in Australia. She is passionate about humanitarian support and community development.
Tamanaw also has a strong interest in Sharia, particularly Islamic Finance and the integration of Sharia-compliant finance in Western financial systems. At Birchgrove Legal, Tamanaw aims to bring together her acumen for Sharia finance and the breadth of her corporate experience to assist a wide range of clients while simultaneously making an impact on the greater community.
In her spare time, Tamanaw enjoys watching crime documentaries and psychological thrillers, but most importantly she loves to spend her weekends playing with her nephews and niece.
